Beneath your feet: the geology of Springfield Park
Celebration on Thursday bank holiday, 2 June
Springfield Park in Hackney E5 9EF, will hold a Celebration to mark the completion of the Springfield Park restoration project as well as the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The London Geodiversity Partnership will join forces with London Branch of the Open University Geological Society to run a stand at the event. The stand will run from 10-5 and will display material relating to the underlying geology. A geological trail around Springfield Park will take place at 11am and 3pm, starting at LGP/LOUGS Stand on the lawn near the pond at the top of the park. It is suitable for family groups as well as more experienced geologists. It will last approximately one hour.
